Reading Logs

Point Pleasant Borough Schools' Summer Reading Program encourages students' development of positive reading habits by recognizing and rewarding reading during the summer months. In order to accurately recognize students' reading, Summer Reading Program participants must log their reading on the district's online Reading Logs. Students should complete Reading Logs for the grade they will begin in September 2018. Only online reading log submissions will be accepted.

Online Reading Log Instructions
Summer Reading Program participants should begin recording their reading beginning on the Program's start date, Friday, June 1, 2018 through the Program's end on August 25, 2018. Logs should be submitted when a student reads the indicated number of reading-level appropriate books. Logged books must be read between the program's start and end dates. Books that are assigned school reading DO count toward the Summer Reading Program.
NOTE: All Reading Logs are closely reviewed to ensure submitted books are reading-level appropriate.

Please Note: Elementary Reading Logs accommodate five books and Memorial Middle School and Point Pleasant High School Reading Logs accommodate three books. Students must submit their complete online reading logs by August 25, 2018. Students may submit additional online forms as necessary.

Be sure that the Reading Log submitted indicates the grade/school that students will be entering in September 2018.
**Point Pleasant Borough Library has a summer reading program with prizes and activities. All students who log their books through the school will automatically be entered into the Point Pleasant Boro Library Summer Reading Program to win great prizes. Please visit the Library throughout the summer for books, internet public computers, programs, and much more!
