How do I login to the parent portal?

Make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled. Click here to go to the Point Pleasant Schools' Parent Portal. Enter the username and password that was supplied to you.
What information is available?

After logging into the portal, click on the Parent Tab. On the parent tab you can click on the appropriate links to view your child's Attendance, Schedule, Daily grades, Report Cards and Interim information.
The Attendance link indicates year to date attendance.
On the Schedule link you may click on Assignments to view daily grades, click on Present/Not Started for daily attendance history or click on the teacher's name to contact through email.
The Grades link will display report cards as they are available.
The Interims link will display progress reports when they are available.
How can I view my child's attendance in each class?

On the Schedule link you may click on Present/Not Started for the daily attendance history for each class.
Who do I contact if I have a question about my child's attendance?

Questions should be directed to the main office.
Can I see my child's grades by assignment?

Yes. On the parent tab, click on the schedule link. For detailed information, click on the assignment link. In a new pop-up window, your child's individual grade by assignment will be displayed.
How often are grades updated?

Regular assignments should be posted within five days.
What does it mean if there is no grade listed?

If there is a blank next to the assignment it is likely that the teacher has entered the assignment into their grade book but has not yet entered your child's score. The teacher will enter a zero for missing assignments. If you have a question please contact your child's teacher.
Are the grades listed final?

The grades reflect your child's cummulative grade until that point. Grades are not final until the end of the marking period.
How can I contact my child's teacher?

You may contact teachers through etask or the parent portal.
Can anyone view my child's information?

The Parent Portal is password protected. Please keep your login and password secure. If you feel your login information has been compromised, please click here.

At the Point Pleasant Schools, we believe that student achievement depends upon the dynamic interaction between teachers and students as they engage in the day-to-day efforts of teaching and learning. Teachers will identify learning goals, assess students’ strengths and needs, and plan instruction. Students  must practice skills and refine concepts, applying the timely and specific feedback teachers provide to help them improve student performance. Teachers will continually gather information about student learning and adjust their instruction accordingly to ensure student success on tasks and assessments that synthesize the content and skills addressed during instruction.

The methods and processes teachers use to gather evidence of student learning are ruled by our Board of Education policies:

Procedures for implementing the electronic grade book are closely linked to our mission.

The employment of the electronic grade book will facilitate a positive free flow of communication between students, parents and teachers. It will give parents real time access to student achievement data, attendance data and assignments. Parents, students and teachers will have the same data access, which will result in more productive parent conferencing, more awareness of student responsibility and more expectation for achievement – as well as an understanding by parents.

We KNOW that when parents are involved, children do better in school – and when children are successful, it is a winning scenario for everyone who cares about Point Pleasant education.

Logging in to the ParentPortal for the first time.
1. After your initial login you will be prompted to change your password.
2. In the old password box enter the password provided to you by the district then enter a new password that’s at least 5 characters long with at least 1 number. Reenter the password into the confirm box. Click OK.
3. The next screen will indicate “Error: You must enter your login password”. There is no error. Reenter your login username and newly created password and click the LOGIN button.

REMEMBER Passwords are case sensitive - mypw2 is not the same as MYPW2
